IT'S BETTER WITH GLASS – STREAMLINING THE DREAM OF DROP STRUCTURES
That picture up above, we owe a lot to it.
It’s the one that everyone likes on Instagram and shows up on all the blogs. That picture encapsulates our iconic look, our vision for what a DROP Structure should be, and we’re proud of it.
It’s pictures like that one that bring people flocking to our site looking for a DROP Structure. And, it’s our mission to work with everyone to get them that space that will make their backyard or retreat property feel like they do when they stare at the Mono sitting there in front of Chief Mountain.
That’s why we’re making full-front glass standard on every DROP Structure.
Providing our customer the DROP Structures experience
Like many businesses, we spent our first years trying to be everything to everyone. We chased down every lead we got, and never said no to anyone – even if we had to sacrifice our vision of what a DROP Structure was designed to be.
Part of that was de-contenting DROP Structures so more people could afford them.
We learned so much during those years, and met a ton of interesting people, so, of course, there are no regrets. However, things have changed since then. We’ve gathered a following of like-minded people who don’t want to settle or compromise – they want the DROP Structure that caught their imagination and brought them to our website.
But, some see it on Dwell, Hiconsumption, or other sites on the internet and they skip over to find the glass doesn’t come standard. Then, they’re stuck deciding whether the dream, the one with all that beautiful glass that brings the beauty of outside inside, is worth the extra cost.
Every time that happens, and we end up building a solid-front Mono, the building at the end just doesn’t feel like a DROP Structure. Though we know all our clients are happy with our prefab buildings, we can’t help but wonder if they ever sit there looking at their Mono and wish they hadn’t compromised.
Clarifying our vision
That’s why we’re making full-front glass standard from now on. We know, this may take a Mono Mini out of some people’s budgets. But, there are plenty of pre-fab buildings out there, and modern garden sheds that offer cheaper price points for people who want that. In the end, that was never our vision.
Our vision has always been that Mono up there, standing in the middle of a glorious view and not obstructing, but enhancing it.
It’s time we come back to that vision.
For those who want a DROP Structure without full glass, there will always be the Micro. But for those who want to share our dream, welcome back to the Mono.
